The food is delicious! Always very fresh. Customer service is fantastic! The owners are very friendly!

First time here and it was my friends first time trying Peruvian food. She loved it, and I enjoyed it also. The service was great and the food was delicious. She had the cilantro soup and I had the chicken with rice.

Hole in the wall family owned restaurant with very good quality food. Definitely recommend coming here very good portions as well. Thank you for the service

Good solid option for Peruvian food when in the area. The older lady(assuming owner) was very kind and helpful. We ordered the chicken and beef lomo soltado as well as the bistec and of course extra plantains. They are hidden in the corner of a strip mall so keep you eyes peeled. Would I come back? Yes I would.

Food are delicious and flavorful just like the last time I was here. Plate and portion are huge and made to order. Definitely mom and pop restaurant with homemade Peruvian food and great services. Clean and very homey for delicious Peruvian food.

Party of two decided to eat at a restaurant nearby after pickleball games at Hollenbeck. Sabor a Peru is a restaurant located at Covina, California. We have Inca Kola, tastes very artificial and yellow which reminds me of cough syrups - just a bit too artificial. Lomo Saltado (good), and Tallerin verde con pollo (so so). Overall it's just a bit above average but portions are big. It's a small restaurant, so it's run by two people, they are friendly. The vibe is more traditional Peruvian. 3.5 stars out of 5. Needs to simplify the menu in my opinion.

This place was SO WONDERFUL! We are always on the hunt for the best Peruvian Food (well...all food, but the topic of this review is Sabor a Peru). We. Found. It. We were on our way back from LA and we live in the San Bernardino area. We looked on yelp to find a Peruvian spot close to where we were. We didn't only find A spot where we were looking, we now found OUR SPOT. When we got into the decent sized parking lot in front of the restaurant, we realized that it was kind of tucked in the corner of the L shaped strip mall, but had signs leading the way so we found it easily. We had the Lomo Saltado and the Leche de Tigre Ceviche. The Lomo Saltado had the BEST SAUCE and enough of it where I did not run out (which I feel like I often do). The meat was soft and full of flavor. Not chewy at all. The fries were super crispy...even with being soaked by the magic juice. The Leche de Tigre ceviche was the best we'd ever had. The sauce was so good, my husband took home the leftover juice and will be putting it on something else...probably even later this evening! The service felt so warm and welcoming, we felt like we were with a long time friend. She gave suggestions and checked in on us to make sure we liked the food and were happy. She was sweet with our boys, which is always a huge win in my book. The only thing she did not give was the secret recipe to the Leche de Tigre...that just means we will have to go back over and over again, any time we crave it. The restaurant was super clean and organized. Very comfortable seating. The tables are well kept and clean. After such a long day being in LA, it truly was a breath of fresh air stopping at Sabor a Peru. It felt like we had made it to our midway home, had a great meal, a little rest and on to the rest of our trip home. We WILL be coming back. So many things on the menu we need to try!! Oh!! I forgot to mention the chicken strips and fries!! (My youngest tries these every where we go). They ALSO are not just your ordinary chicken strips and fries!! You get such a great portion for a great price! They tasted home battered, crispy and juicy. Paired with the drool inducing crispy fries...we all truly can't wait to go back!!
